The Residency to Citizenship Program is designed for ultra-high-net-worth individuals. It offers citizenship of a EU member state. Citizenship here is stable, neutral and highly respected, with an efficient application process under the legal framework updated in 2020. Malta also boasts the world’s strictest due diligence standards with only 400 annual applicant quota, thus ensuring only highly respectable individuals are accepted onto its immigration programs.
The first EU-approved citizenship program in Malta allows applicants a direct route to obtaining one of the most respected European passports in the world. Live, work and study anywhere in the EU, with extensive benefits to visa-free travel in over 182 countries worldwide. Including those in the EU, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States of America.
Individual investors must make a minimum contribution of 590 000 EUR (or 740 000 EUR in case of expedited process) to the national development fund set up by the government, increased if application is made for a family. Additionally, 10 000 EUR has to be donated to an approved non-governmental society. Investors shall also have a residence in Malta, either by rent (starting from 16 000 EUR annually) or purchase (at least 700 000 EUR).
The expedited procedure will take only 14 months, while the normal procedure will take 38 months.
